Bright, high-altitude Sangiovese with crunchy red fruit, mint and a salty finish.

Nose: Crunchy cherry, redcurrant, wild mint, floral and savoury notes.
Palate: Bright red fruit and a seamless texture, held by fresh acidity, a light bitter twist and fine-grained tannins.
Finish: Salty, mineral and energetic.
Serve: Around 15–16°C, a little cooler than room temperature.

A Chianti Classico shaped by altitude, made with concrete and old wood only.

100% Sangiovese from the two sides of Monte San Michele, in the Lamole and Lucolena areas of Greve in Chianti.

Vines: Organically farmed Sangiovese, hand-harvested, from slopes between 500 and 700 metres.
Soils: Sandstone (macigno) and quartz, with sandier ground at Lamole.
Farming: Organic since 2013, grass left between the rows.
Cellar: Destemmed, spontaneous fermentation in concrete with about 30 days of maceration, aged around 12 months in old 25 hl casks.
Additions: Nothing added beyond what is needed; no new oak.

Coste di Felice is Castellaccio's Chianti Classico: 100% Sangiovese from organically farmed vineyards on the two opposite slopes of Monte San Michele, at Lamole and Lucolena, between 500 and 700 metres.

The grapes are picked by hand, destemmed and fermented spontaneously in concrete with around 30 days on the skins. The wine then ages for about 12 months in large old 25-hectolitre casks, with no new wood, so the altitude and the fruit do the talking.
