An old Chianti recipe, made light and lively.

A traditional Chianti blend of about 70% Sangiovese and 30% Trebbiano and Malvasia, from Castellaccio's vineyards in Lamole and Lucolena.

Vines: Organically farmed Sangiovese, Trebbiano and Malvasia at 500–700 metres.
Soils: Sandstone (macigno) and quartz.
Farming: Organic since 2013.
Cellar: Spontaneous fermentation in concrete; the white grapes macerate on their skins before blending; aged in old wood.
History: The family's older recipe, from before white grapes were removed from Chianti Classico in 2006.

Lennino brings back the old Chianti recipe that Davide Bottai's grandfather used: about 70% Sangiovese with 30% of the white grapes Trebbiano and Malvasia, a blend the Chianti Classico rules dropped in 2006. It is bottled as Toscana IGT.

The Sangiovese is vinified like the estate's Chianti Classico, with spontaneous fermentation in concrete, while the white grapes are macerated on their skins before blending. Ageing is in old wood.
