How it tastes
In the glass
Crisp and clean-lined Chardonnay with bright acidity and subtle alpine minerality.
Profile
Nose
Orchard and citrus fruit, subtle white flower and mineral nuances.
Palate
Crisp fruit with bright, lively acidity providing a clean structural backbone. The texture is light yet focused, with gentle mid-palate weight carrying the fruit forward. Fine mineral threads and delicate saline hints give definition.
Finish
Persistent and refreshing, distinctly reflective of Savoy's cool, calcareous terrain.
“A lean and expressive style shaped by steep alpine slopes and organic farming.”

Where it's from · Savoy, France
CHIGNIN
Savoie is all about altitude, exposure, and fast-changing mountain weather — which means picking decisions matter a lot. Get it right and you lock in tension; get it wrong and you get either sourness or softness. Adrien’s wines consistently land on the “alive but not sharp” side.

Adrien Berlioz
Electric Savoie wines with alpine cut, nerve nd clarity.
Adrien Berlioz is part of a new-generation Savoie wave: vignerons who treat Jacquère and the local white varieties like serious terroir grapes, not just “apéro whites.” His work sits in that sweet spot where the wines stay genuinely drinkable, but the details (farming, picking choices, élevage) are clearly obsessive.
“Il faut installer une infrastructure solide avec de gros piquets…”
- Style
- Mountain-bright wines with real structure: tense whites and spicy, lifted reds — clean, precise, never heavy
- Grapes
- Jacquère, Altesse (Roussette), Roussanne (Bergeron) — plus Savoie reds like Mondeuse and Persan
- Farming
- Hands-on, parcel-by-parcel viticulture with a strong respect for living soils and low yields to keep fruit intensity and freshness
- Cellar
- Native fermentations, gentle extraction, and élevage chosen for clarity rather than oak flavor — built to keep alpine energy and texture
- Signature
- The “alpine fingerprint”: salinity, herbal lift, and a cool-climate snap — whether it’s white or red

Good to know
Questions we get a lot
Is this a natural wine?
All our wines come from small growers who farm organically or biodynamically and keep intervention in the cellar to a minimum: native yeasts, little or no added sulphites. Every producer has their own approach; the details are in “From the vineyard to the bottle” above.
Why is it a bit cloudy, or is there sediment?
Many of our wines are bottled unfiltered. A light haze or some sediment is natural and harmless: stand the bottle upright for a few hours and pour gently.
How long does it keep once open?
It depends on the wine (see “Once open” above). As a rule: cork back in and keep it in the fridge, reds included.
When will my order arrive?
We ship Tuesday to Saturday, usually right away. In Germany delivery takes 2–3 working days; rates for every country are on our shipping page.
