Lama dell'Araldo is a single-vineyard Chianti Classico from one southwest-facing slope in Lamole, at about 600 metres. It is the sunniest of Castellaccio's sites, on the sandy soils that set Lamole apart from Lucolena.

The Sangiovese ferments spontaneously in concrete and then ages in a single fine-grained tonneau, which keeps the oak in the background and gives the wine gentle micro-oxygenation. Only around 600 bottles are made.
