How it tastes

In the glass

A finely etched Pinot Noir defined by purity of fruit and structural composure.

Profile

Body LightFull
Acidity SoftBright
Grip SilkyGrippy
Wild side CleanFunky

Nose

Red cherry and raspberry layered with dried rose, light spice, and a subtle forest floor nuance.

Palate

Medium-bodied with bright acidity and finely woven tannins. Red fruit remains vibrant and lifted, carried by gentle earthiness and a mineral undertone that gives direction without weight.

Finish

Clean and persistent, with floral notes and a softly savoury close.

“A site-transparent Pinot Noir rooted in finesse rather than power.”

How to serve

Getting the best out of it

Temperature

Cool room temperature, a little under the table's. Warmer and the alcohol shows; cooler and the fruit stays defined.

Air

A little. Open it 15 minutes before; the tannin is soft, so it doesn't need more, but the layers get clearer and more distinct.

When to drink

At its best now: drink it over the next year or two, while the fruit is still crisp. With more time it turns earthier, but you want to catch it before it loses its bite.

Once open

It holds well: the fruit fades a little, the savoury side grows. Cork in and keep it in the fridge, then take it out 30 minutes before pouring. 2–3 days.

How to pair it

This is an everyday red

Enough grip for meat, enough freshness for vegetables. Think shared plates and anything off the grill.

Match

Flavours that echo the wine.

  • Grilled meat and vegetables
  • Tomato-based pasta
  • Mushrooms
  • Roast pork

Contrast

Opposites that make each other better.

  • Fatty sausages
  • Lamb (chops, roast)
  • Cured meats

Careful with

Combinations that flatten the wine.

  • Raw or delicate fish
  • Very hot chilli
  • Artichokes and asparagus

Château de Garnerot

Organic Côte Chalonnaise wines shaped by limestone soils and restrained cellar work.

Château de Garnerot represents a contemporary Burgundian approach rooted in heritage but shaped by independence. Established with the intention of cultivating wines without excessive technical correction, the estate has positioned itself between classical Burgundy and the movement toward minimal-intervention viticulture.

Good to know

Questions we get a lot

Is this a natural wine?

All our wines come from small growers who farm organically or biodynamically and keep intervention in the cellar to a minimum: native yeasts, little or no added sulphites. Every producer has their own approach; the details are in “From the vineyard to the bottle” above.

Why is it a bit cloudy, or is there sediment?

Many of our wines are bottled unfiltered. A light haze or some sediment is natural and harmless: stand the bottle upright for a few hours and pour gently.

How long does it keep once open?

It depends on the wine (see “Once open” above). As a rule: cork back in and keep it in the fridge, reds included.

When will my order arrive?

We ship Tuesday to Saturday, usually right away. In Germany delivery takes 2–3 working days; rates for every country are on our shipping page.

Can I pick up in Berlin?
