How it tastes

In the glass

A focused and energetic Syrah balancing dark fruit with tension and spice.

Profile

Body LightFull
Acidity SoftBright
Grip SilkyGrippy
Wild side CleanFunky

Nose

Blackberry, dark cherry, and violet layered with cracked pepper, olive tapenade, and a subtle smoky nuance.

Palate

Medium-bodied with vivid acidity and supple but present tannins. Dark berry fruit remains precise and lifted, framed by peppery spice and a faint mineral thread that adds definition.

Finish

Persistent and gently savoury, with lingering spice and a clean structural close.

“A Rhône Syrah defined by freshness, spice, and measured structure.”

How to serve

Getting the best out of it

Temperature

Cool room temperature, a little under the table's. Warmer and the alcohol shows; cooler and the fruit stays defined.

Air

No need. Made without added sulphites, it can be a touch closed when first poured: a swirl in the glass and it passes.

When to drink

Drink it young and slightly chilled, within three or four years: it's about crunchy fruit, not age.

Once open

No added sulphites: delicious for a few hours, then the fruit fades quickly. Cork in, fridge. 1 day.

How to pair it

This is a light red

Low tannin, lots of freshness: serve it slightly chilled and pair it almost like a white. No cheese, no fried food.

Match

Flavours that echo the wine.

  • Mushrooms and earthy vegetables
  • Poultry and white meat (roast chicken)
  • Pulses (lentils, beans)
  • Grilled meaty fish (tuna, salmon)

Contrast

Opposites that make each other better.

  • Cured meats (salame, prosciutto)
  • Fatty sausages

Careful with

Combinations that flatten the wine.

  • Raw fish
  • Very hot chilli
  • Heavy stews

CHÂTEAUNEUF DU-PAPE

Châteauneuf-du-Pape lies on ancient river terraces formed by the Rhône River. The iconic galets roulés — large rounded stones deposited during glacial periods — sit atop red clay and sand. These stones store daytime heat and release it gradually overnight, promoting even ripening.

Domaine Duseigneur

Organically farmed Southern Rhône wines balancing Mediterranean depth with structural restraint.

Domaine Duseigneur was founded with a clear intention: to interpret the Southern Rhône through organic farming and careful cellar work rather than power alone. While Châteauneuf-du-Pape is often associated with richness and concentration, the domaine has aimed to refine that identity — preserving depth while prioritizing drinkability and structure.

"Power is natural here — balance is the real work."

Good to know

Questions we get a lot

Is this a natural wine?

All our wines come from small growers who farm organically or biodynamically and keep intervention in the cellar to a minimum: native yeasts, little or no added sulphites. Every producer has their own approach; the details are in “From the vineyard to the bottle” above.

Why is it a bit cloudy, or is there sediment?

Many of our wines are bottled unfiltered. A light haze or some sediment is natural and harmless: stand the bottle upright for a few hours and pour gently.

How long does it keep once open?

It depends on the wine (see “Once open” above). As a rule: cork back in and keep it in the fridge, reds included.

When will my order arrive?

We ship Tuesday to Saturday, usually right away. In Germany delivery takes 2–3 working days; rates for every country are on our shipping page.

Can I pick up in Berlin?
