The more open, fruit-forward expression of La Mutine's Vézelay Pinot Noir.

Nose: Brighter red fruit than the Sur Les Roches — fresh cherry, a hint of violet, light earthy undertone. More immediate, more perfumed.
Palate: Supple and round, with a softer tannin structure from the shorter maceration and higher clay content in the soil. Still dry, still precise — but more generous and approachable young.
Finish: Clean and mineral, with a gentle chalky edge and good length.
Serve: 14–16°C. Drinks well young, with a light chill if needed.

The same Vézelay precision, in a rounder, more immediately pleasurable register.

Same vintage, same grape, same domaine as the Sur Les Roches — different plot, different character.

Soils: Clay-limestone — more clay than the Sur Les Roches parcel, giving the wine its rounder texture and more generous fruit expression.
Farming: Fully organic, worked by hand and old tractor.
Cellar: 8 days whole-cluster maceration — four days shorter than Sur Les Roches, keeping extraction gentle and perfume intact. Aged 22 months in stainless steel.
Additions: Minimal sulphur at bottling. No fining, no filtration.
