Collection: Valentini

Italy is renowned for its rich winemaking heritage, steeped in centuries of tradition. Abruzzo, a picturesque region in central Italy, is no exception, with a winemaking legacy that dates back to Roman times. Among the notable wineries in this region is the Valentini winery, nestled in the charming village of Loreto Aprutino in the province of Pescara. This esteemed winery, owned by the noble Valentini family of Spanish descent, has been crafting exceptional wines since the 17th century.
Under the stewardship of Francesco Paolo Valentini, a visionary winemaker with a profound passion for his craft, the winery continues to produce outstanding wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. With 65 hectares of vineyards dedicated to cultivating the region's renowned varietals, such as Trebbiano and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, the Valentini winery embodies a commitment to quality and tradition.
Francesco Paolo's approach to winemaking is deeply rooted in artisanal practices, guided by a natural philosophy that prioritizes sustainability and authenticity. Embracing a hands-on approach in the vineyard, the winery eschews synthetic treatments in favor of traditional methods, using only sulfur and copper for vineyard maintenance. This dedication to craftsmanship and respect for the land shines through in every bottle, allowing the wines to speak eloquently for themselves.

Decanting in the cellar is a strictly natural process, facilitated by the yeasts present on the grape skins. This deliberate and daring approach underscores the commitment to quality, as only wines that meet exceptionally high standards are deemed fit for market release, even after aging for multiple vintages. With yields kept deliberately low, a mere 50,000 bottles are crafted annually from the 65 hectares of vineyards, featuring Trebbiano, Cerasuolo, and Montepulciano d'Abruzzo varietals. These remarkable natural wines beautifully showcase the essence of Abruzzo's terroir, embodying the philosophy of Francesco Paolo: "I observe and allow Mother Nature to work her magic; everything we need is already present, waiting to be revealed."
