Piemonte, nestled in the northwestern region of Italy, boasts a rich viticultural heritage, extending beyond the renowned Barolo and Barbaresco wines.

Date: Wednesday 21st February

Time: 6pm

Venue: FYT Wine, Stargarder Straße 62, 10437 Berlin

The Langhe area, along with Monferrato and Valtellina, contributes to Piemonte's diverse wine landscape. Piemonte is celebrated for its indigenous grape varieties, such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto.

Nebbiolo, the star of Barolo and Barbaresco, offers complex, age-worthy wines known for their bold tannins and ethereal aromas of roses and tar.

Barbera, with its bright acidity and cherry flavors, thrives in Monferrato and provides wines that are approachable and food-friendly.

Dolcetto, as the name suggests, offers softer, fruit-forward reds. Valtellina, in the Lombardy region, specializes in Nebbiolo-based wines known as Chiavennasca. Piemonte's unique terroir, with its hilly terrain and diverse microclimates, fosters grape varieties that showcase the region's remarkable range of flavors and styles, making it a world-renowned wine destination beyond the famed Barolos and Barbarescos.

But Piemonte also boasts some exceptional white grape varieties.

Moscato, for instance, is famous for its aromatic and sweet wines, but when they are dry they are expetional.

Arneis, another white grape, produces crisp and floral wines, such as Roero Arneis, which is a delightful expression of Piemonte's white wine diversity.

All wines will be tasted blind.

Limited seats to 12 people.

The tasting will be held in English.

You need to be 18+ years old to attend this event.
