Nicolas Chemarin - Les Vignes de Jeannot 2018

Les Vignes de Jeannot is an outstanding red wine made by Gamay grapes. It comes from the village of Marchtamp where Nicola Chemarin winery is located. The wine is fermented in stainless steel with 50% of the grapes in carbonic maceration, and is then aged in oak barrel for 16 to 18 months. It's a bit more structured than the average Gamay, yet very clean and fragrant. It has nice red fruits and wild berries aromas, with crunchy spices and green flavours and a touch a smoke.
