HOW HE GOT HERE
Geoffrey Delouvin oversees the family estate in the Vallée de la Marne, representing the 11th generation of Delouvin winegrowers, carrying forward centuries of knowledge and deep connection to the land.
The estate’s vineyards — roughly 7 hectares of mostly old vines — are planted across 36 distinct parcels with varied soils that include chalk, clay, and sands, all contributing to the complexity of his Champagnes.
Driven by a passion for Pinot Meunier and a desire to articulate the individuality of each plot, Geoffrey tends his vines meticulously to bring out the unique character of every parcel. He produces two main lines: the Delouvin Nowack range (traditional, fresh, fruit‑driven styles) and the Famille Delouvin collection, which draws inspiration from Burgundy with wild‑yeast fermentations and extended oak or barrel maturation for select cuvées.
His commitment to respecting life and land — eschewing herbicides and prioritizing biodiversity — is part of how he marries tradition with innovation, winning recognition such as the ‘Jeunes Talents du Champagne’ award in 2018 for his Pinot‑focused work.
